Venison Magazine

I have a great little back and forth about transition, failure, and instagram in the winter 2014 issue of San Francisco based Venison Magazine.  It was honestly a pleasure to have such a frank discussion with artist Adriana Villagran about the ins and outs of my new work and how I present it to the digital sphere.

January 2015

I'm very excited to be included in three shows in the first few weeks of the new year.  They are all over the place, so if one is close to you I hope you can make stop by and check it out.

Platinum Blend curated by Stephanie Chefas (Platinum Cheese) at Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco CA.  A huge list of great artists, a sincere pleasure to be included on this list.
Opens January 10th 2015, running until the 31st.

Lightning Blend at Love Gallery in Denver CO.  A mix of new blood, and aesthetic mayhem is how this show was pitched to me by gallery owner Tom Bond.  I couldn't say no to that.
Opens January 16th 2015, running until Feb 15th

Finally, Cedar Ridge Creative Centre in Scarborough ON is featuring some of my work as part of their contemporary programming from January 11th 2015 until the 23rd.

Busy, busy, busy.

Upcoming

I've just signed on to be a part of the 2014 G40 Art Summit in Washington DC next month organized by Art Whino and hosted at their event space, Blind Whino.   The show runs from September 14th - October 4th with lots of cool programming throughout the month.
I'm in the midst of finishing off the piece I have planned for the show which will be an experiment with something I've wanted to try out for a while, and this seemed like good opportunity to dive into it head first.  You can keep up with the progress of the piece on my Instagram feed (@bbbriandonnelly)where I'm allowing my process to be public.

In January I've agreed to be part of a show curated by Stephanie Chefas at Platinum Cheese in San Francisco.  Details are still coming on that one, but I'll try to keep this newsfeed up-to-date as the details become more concrete.

I'm also just finishing up some work that started in the winter, so there will be some new images for you to digest soon, promise.
